I enjoyed my day in Narsaq, a small town poised at the edge of Greenland’s ice cap. Narsaq is situated in the heart of an ice-choked fjord, with icebergs and mountains setting the backdrop for this town of 1,700.
As you can see in the video, the sound is full of icebergs, which, close up, present beautiful shades of blue, and resemble sculptures. Getting to and leaving Narsaq, boats takes travelers past the icebergs, a spectacle not to miss.
Our hosts in Narsaq were Kista and Antonio. He came here from Madrid, Spain, to do mountain climbing, then met Kista and fell in love with her — and with South Greenland.
