Seen: Leaving Pula, Croatia, We Spotted Scenic Eclipse

Although the lettering on its hull was barely visible, the ship that we could see in the distance clearly was the new Scenic Eclipse. We were departing Pula, Croatia, during a weeklong cruise along the Adriatic. I don’t know about you but I am impressed by Scenic Eclipse’s sleek design. Though she has had some construction challenges, due to shipyard strikes and other factors, the end result, at least from the exterior, is nothing short of gorgeous. And to think where Scenic Eclipse will go, and how it will go, with submersibles and helicopters, makes the vessel we saw in the distance all that much more remarkable. She launches in August 2019, and we can’t wait to see her up close.

  • You didn’t happen to see her matching sister ship under construction there, did you? We are booked on it for the Northwest Passage next year. (If it’s ready.)
