Encore: Coming Soon, Seabourn Ovation

With the christening complete of the brand new Seabourn Encore in Singapore in January, Seabourn is looking to the future. Next year, Encore’s sister ship, Seabourn Ovation, will set sail, carrying 600 guests on a variety of cruises throughout the Mediterranean and Northern Europe on her maiden season.

Following her inaugural sailing in May of 2018, Seabourn Ovation will spend time cruising the warm waters of the Mediterranean before repositioning to Northern Europe, where the vast majority of her maiden season is scheduled.

The staple of Seabourn Ovation’s summer season will be a series of weeklong voyages sailing between Copenhagen and Stockholm. These Baltic and Scandinavia cruises will include a three day stay in St. Petersburg, Russia; a staple of Seabourn’s Baltic region product. Those looking for longer sailings will find an assortment of voyages that explore the fjords of Norway and the British Isles, all of which conveniently depart from Stockholm, Copenhagen or Dover, England.

“We are very excited to begin taking reservations and building anticipation for the diverse range of itineraries for the maiden season of Seabourn Ovation, and we look forward to providing guests with opportunities to explore some of the most culturally significant, naturally beautiful, and thoroughly enjoyable destinations within Europe on the world’s newest ultra-luxury ship,” said Seabourn President Richard Meadows. “Seabourn Ovation will continue the new standard of ultra-luxury cruising that can only be found on Seabourn. We can’t wait to welcome our guests on board.”

Designed by Adam D. Tihany, Seabourn Ovation will be an identical sister to Seabourn Encore. The 40,350-gross-ton ship will feature an all suite, all-balcony configuration along with one of the highest passenger-to-space ratios in the industry. She makes her debut on May 5, 2018 in Venice, Italy, sailing an inaugural cruise to Barcelona.
