This morning, Silver Spirit anchored off of Hvar, an island that bills itself as the sunniest in Adriatic. No problem with anchoring. Tenders ran frequently, and we hopped on one to go ashore. As you can see in the photo, Silver Spirit appeared stunningly gorgeous at anchor.
Unfortunately, our tour, an off-road excursion, was cancelled because we were the only two who signed up. So we spent an hour walking the seaside promenade alongside the Adriatic.

Hvar is one of those places that we’d like to return to for a longer stay. It reminded us of Saint-Tropez, and we vowed to come back for a week or more.

For now, though, lovely Silver Spirit beckoned, departing at 5 p.m. to take us to our last port of call, Venice.

What do you make of the latest CDC report for the Silversea Company ship that failed inspection?
Not a lot. USA Today says, “The CDC has yet to make its report listing reasons for the failing grade public.” So we don’t even know why Silver Shadow failed.
The paper also says, “The last six inspections of the ship by the CDC have resulted in scores ranging from 95 to 99, according to CDC records.”
You are right about coming back for a week or more. The word of a guy who is born there!
