Passing Mecca: Exciting Days Ahead On Silver Spirit, Ashore In Egypt & Jordan

Passing Mecca

Silver Spirit continues its journey up the Red Sea, passing Mecca this morning, on our way to the next ports of call in Egypt and in Jordan. The ship is buzzing with excitement about a couple of tours, which I will be covering.

The first takes place tomorrow. From Safaga, Egypt, we spend a long day on the “Splendors of Luxor” tour (duration 13.5 hours). Look for my report of that tour here Tuesday night (provided I still have the energy to report!)

Silver Spirit overnights in Safaga, and some guests will be sleeping off-ship – by choice. Silversea offers a couple of so-called Mid-Voyage Land Adventures that give guests time in Luxor, Karnak and the Valley of the Kings.

On Thursday, I’ll join the “Petra – Jordan’s Treasure” tour. Details to follow.
