It never fails to amaze me that you can board a plane in someplace cold, get on a ship, sail for a couple of days in an extremely relaxed environment, then pull back the curtains one morning in your stateroom and open the doors onto a tropical paradise.
Regent Seven Seas Mariner has arrived in St. Barts (and me two pounds heavier thanks to all the good food and my sense of journalistic inquiry that requires that I try it all, along with it).
For me, however, this is one of the last days of my cruise. I’m only on a press trip for five days. The luckier ones have just started their adventure, more than 100 days on a world cruise.
