Launched in 2009, Swiss Jewel is one of three river ships in the Tauck fleet. Besides operating some of the newest vessels on the water, Tauck places special emphasis on onboard space and comfort.
SWISS JEWEL Staterooms

Swiss Jewel can accommodate 118 guests in a spacious, club-like atmosphere. 85 percent of staterooms feature ocean views and French balconies, and the ship boasts 14 suites measuring 300 square feet each, including full marble baths. Seven Junior suites are also on offer.
All staterooms feature terrycloth bathrobes, L’Occitane toiletries, and slippers. Interactive video on demand is provided in every stateroom via flat panel plasma televisions. For guests staying in Category 6 suites, room service breakfast is also offered.
SWISS JEWEL Public Areas

Though Swiss Jewel is a river cruise ship, it offers many of the amenities you might expect from a much larger oceangoing vessel. The wood-paneled Lido Lounge Bar offers coffee, tea and light snacks throughout the day, as well as alternative bistro-style dining. The room features a 180-degree glass wall that can open fully, allowing passengers to enjoy the passing scenery.
Complimentary snack baskets are served from 2pm onward, and open-seating dinner is served in the ship’s main restaurant. Complimentary wine is included with dinner, and complimentary beer and soft drinks are available with lunch. The ship also has a 24-hour Jacuzzi, as well as a fitness center, library and boutique.
Along with AMA Waterways, Tauck features complimentary wireless internet access throughout its fleet, and Nintendo Wii games are also available.
Together with her combination of space and enhanced amenities, Swiss Jewel transports guests to some of Europe’s most stunning destinations aboard a ship that is at once intimate and inviting, but modern and luxurious.
