
Ilulissat | Disko Bay
Unfortunately, on the morning we arrived, Disko Bay was not only choked with icebergs but also fog. Still, the transit into the bay was mystical – and memorable. As our ship pierced the fog, I thought of Titanic. Thankfully, we were plodding along slowly.
We waited all day for the fog to lift, but it was persistent. At 4 p.m. the captain announced it was time to call it a day, and we began our transit out of Disko Bay.
