Facebook Reach and Audience
Although the number of fans might resemble a popularity ranking, it really shows the potential spread of a social media conversation. Think of reach as the potential audience that could be exposed to a cruise line’s message: the greater the size of the audience the bigger the reach.

What percentage of those Facebook fans for a given cruise line are existing customers? “Social media” are merely one of several ways for a cruise line to communicate with its customers and known prospects. Oceania and Regent aren’t on the list above, for example, partly because they’re smaller than the likes of Carnival, Princess, and HAL but also because they focus their marketing and communications efforts on direct mail. (I’d be willing to bet that an Oceania/Regent “2 for 1 fares with free air” mailer generates a lot more business than a “social media” blast does.)
Great reply Durant, I wish the cruise lines would disclose how many of their FB fans are existing customers. I am not sure they know for sure, to be honost. Oceania and Regent are in fact on another list, they just did not make the Top 10.
