Welcome aboard Liberty of the Seas:
The Cruise4Haiti gang sailed away on the Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas. Although the boarding process got off to a late start, we got onto the ship and made our way to the Windjammer café. A delicious welcome buffet was available. A new friend that I met and I decided to explore the huge ship. We saw the teen club, The Living Room, as well as the Promenade and real ice skating rink. We returned to our rooms to get ready for mustering, which turned out to be quick and easy. After mustering, the group met for dinner at Botticelli’s. I had a spicy tomato soup and a perfect quesadilla. When dinner ended, friends and I headed over to “The Living Room” and met new friends. After this long traveling day, I’m sure everyone will sleep like a baby tonight.
Sea Day Number 1:
Our first full day at sea started with breakfast with many choices at the Windjammer Café. After breakfast, I headed up to meet some friends. We played wild and wacky game involving taking pictures around the ship. We returned to the teen club and took a quick break to change into our bathing suits. We went swimming, but the water was freezing, so we went in the hot tub instead. After some lunch and ice cream, I made some cards for the orphans in St. Marteen and Haiti. Dinner was delicious, Creaser Salad and Herbal Chicken Breast. A group of friends and I saw the show, Gallery of Dreams. This jam-packed day at sea was a great way to start off the cruise.
