In September, while traveling the south of France, we visited the island of Porquerolles, which is part of a protected national park, assuring that the island will retain its pristine nature for years to come.

One of the things cruise passengers will definitely want to see in Porquerolles is the Sainte-Agathe Fort, built in 1531 to protect to the island. You can spend time at fort exploring the ramparts, the 4-meter thick walls and the underground tunnels. But another good reason to visit the fort is for the spectacular views of the turquoise blue waters on the Cote d’Azur, which you’ll see in this Avid Cruiser feature video.
