Just Another Day In Var Provence

This week, I joined representatives from Seabourn, SeaDream and Voyages of Discovery, along with other colleagues, for a familiarization trip in Var Provence. See this post if you’re scratching your head and asking, Where?

In My Viewfinder: Beautiful & Varied Var Provence. Where? Let Us Show You

One of the highlights of our trip was a ropes and tree climbing course. We spent nearly 90 minutes in the treetops, zip-lining and walking tight-wires and cables. It was exhilarating and exhausting but infinitely memorable.

Will the tree-climbing and ropes course be offered as a shore excursion in the future by one of the cruise lines whose reps were with us? I certainly hope so.

Continue to follow along as we explore more of Var Provence this week.

On Bendor Island, we visited a museum dedicated to Paul Ricard, whose name is associated with the popular Provencal cocktail, Pastis. © 2012 Ralph Grizzle

Also on Bendor Island is a Spirits museum, with an incredible collection, and history, of liquor and liqueurs through the ages. © 2012 Ralph Grizzle

Looks like fun! I’ve cruised a lot before, but never to the region you’re describing. Looks like an amazing trip!
