Copenhagen continues to prove itself as an extremely popular cruise destination. The Danish capital is poised to welcome 840,000 passengers on 376 ships, both records.

The cruise season is also extending, with the first ship calling on April 6 and the last ship departing October 10. “It seems that the season is getting longer and longer,” says Arnt Moller, COO of the Copenhagen Malmo Port.

Additionally, there will be seven Christmas cruises, twice as many as in previous years, and a new cruise terminal will open May 1, 2013.
