
Amsterdam will receive a few maiden calls this season: the new Aida Luna and Costa Luminosa, which will call on Amsterdam eight times this season for turnaround operations.
Celebrity Century also uses Amsterdam as homeport as does MSC Lirica.
Other ships visiting Amsterdam for the first time are: Tahitian Princess, Vision of the Seas, Costa Magica, P&O’s Arcadia, Regina Baltica, Holland America Line’s Eurodam, Seven Seas Voyager, Delphin Voyager and the National Geographic Explorer.
Terminal Improvements
PTA’s check in area has been refurbished with a fresh blue color scheme, and new state-of-the-art check in desks. A new “scent machine” makes waiting in the check in area even more pleasurable.
There is also a new promenade, built on the roof of the concourse and providing visitors with an even better spot to wave at relatives going on a cruise
A few shops have opened on the ground floor in Passenger Terminal Amsterdam: Segway opened an outlet in PTA. These self-balancing, zero emissions, personal transportation vehicles can be rented from the shop on the ground floor of the terminal. Passengers and crew can even book guided city tours on Segway!
The Dutch design souvenir shop ‘Thinking of Holland’ on the ground floor, has an outlet on the Main deck since this cruise season. Plus, there’s a new Subway sandwich shop.
