The recession continues to create some unprecedented travel opportunities for decision-makers who are ready to travel. For instance, Hurtigruten is offering a two-for-one deal, for bookings made by May 31, on its “Glaciers & Icebergs of Greenland” itineraries.
The eight-day expedition to the world’s largest island will explore the unspoilt coast of Greenland from the MS Fram, which allows passengers to see the awesome landscape and unique wildlife of the country, close up.
The intimate and well-equipped MS Fram will keep close to Greenland’s dramatic coastline, and Hurtigruten schedules an array of lectures and presentations by experts who can add depth of knowledge and understanding. The trip affords plenty of opportunities for exploring the island on foot, by smaller boat and by helicopter – meaning that there are many possibilities for real adventure.
Departures are scheduled on June 11; July 2, 9 and 30; and September 17 this year.
Highlights of the voyage include the MS Fram itself, which was designed specifically for polar exploration, and the opportunity to visit coastal fishing villages and historic towns. Passengers will see massive and towing icebergs, and many will enjoy guided walks and excursions in remote locations.
